Human geography was a fun experience. I learned a bunch of new things that will help with my life in the future. We learned about religions and what they do for a living. Some things that I didn't get was the story that people told during class because they didn't really make that much sense. During my time in that class I had a few friends that always encouraged me to do my best. They always hoped I got a good grade on a test and they hoped that I would succeed on all the work that I do. Some of the work we did was hard and some of the work was really easy. The best part is when the work was easy because when we were done with all the easy work we able to do our blogs in class instead of doing it at home where you spend your free time. I usually finish half of it in class then finish the rest at home. The reason I do that is because if I do half of it in class then the time I had to do the other half I can spend studying for a test. The hard work that we do in class is not imp...

Today in class we talked about the paragraphs that we did on the blog. A lot of people didn't want to share there paragraphs. Although at the last minute someone raised there hand to share. I didn't want to share my paragraph because I was a little diffident about sharing it in front of the class. So I just stayed in the background and listened to everyone else read the information. Now I feel like I should of read mine because a lot of my information was like everyone else's and that's what e needed to write for the test on Friday. The information that we were suppose to writ about was going to be on he test on Friday so that will help us study for it. Everyone didn't finish there presentation but I did so that helped me have in my mind what the test is going to be on. So now I'm prepared because I know a lot about the religions that were being tested on. Some people didn't finish it at home so they didn't share there paragraph.

Today were working on a assignment on the computer because the teacher isn't here. We have to write 5 paragraphs on all the religions we went over. Christianity has a number of adherents that are around 2.2 billion, which is the largest in the world. There called Christians because that's there core name in the religion. They are geographically located in Europe, America, and southern Africa. There denominations are Catholic church, protestant, Baptist, and angelicins. There one and only founder is Jesus Christ. There beliefs are that Jesus is human and the divine son of God. Christianity represents up to 31.,4% of the world population. It has three major branches Roman catholic, protestant, and Orthodox. Roman Catholics comprise approximately 50% of the worlds Christians and orthodox around 12%. Islam has the second largest population in the world. They are call them Muslims . There beliefs are Abrahamic, and monotheistic. Meaning that there is only one god. They are geog...

We took notes on a power point and we talked about religions. In the beginning of class we did a game on religions. It was a fun game because if we got three questions wrong we would have to start over the whole quiz. The quiz on information that was on the Koran or on the bible. There were statements on the board that was either in the Koran or the Bible. we had to start over so manty times that it was almost halfway through class before we did anything else. We played the game in class order. One time I had to answer the last question and if I got it wrong we would have to start all over. I got the answer wrong so we had to start over. People weren't mad at me because they seemed like they rather play the game instead of doing work. After that we finally finished the game. We looked at a packet on religions and underlined information that would be helpful on the test. I tried to underline as much as I can because right now my test grades in the class are not that good so im going...

There is rig-Veda and that is the knowledge of the Hymns of Praise for recitation. There is Sama-Veda and that is knowledge of Melodies for chanting and it has 1028 hymes.. There is Yajur-Veda and that is the knowledge for the Sacrificial formulas for liturgy and it has a few hymes. The last one is Arthva-veda and that is the knowledge of magic formulas named after a kind of group of priest. The practice of indulgences is just payment to the catholic church that purchased an exemption from punishment for some types of sin. Martin Luther objected indulgences because he felt that it was wrong to promise that should would be freed from purgatory because of a basic monetary contribution. He also felt that the pope did not have the right too pardon from God.
Christianity is 31.4%, Muslim is 23.2%, Hinduism is 15%, Buddhist is 7.1%, and Jewish is 0.2%. On the other side it says that Christianity is 33 %, Islam is 21%, Non religious is 16%, Hinduism Is 14%, Buddhist is 6%, and Jewish is not on there. The statistics that I found are pretty consistent so both site s are accurate for information. There is a really small space where the other religions out side of the ones I named are. So the percentages are really small. Christianity is the biggest religion and muslim is the second biggest, Hindu is the third, buddist is the 4th, and jewish is the 5th.

Today in class we took notes on religions and we learned about what they did and how they believed in god in different ways. I'm not going to be able to talk about a lot because I had a headache in class. We also talked about the different names that religions call the bible. There are many religions that have different beliefs. Christians have a book called the Bible. Also some religions think that you don't go to heaven There think that you come back something else like an animal or plant. Some religions have more then one God. There have multiple and some believe that some Gods are more powerful then others. Us Christians and Catholics think that there is one God.
